Hello,

for the MT-32 fans out there, I've tried to tag every MT-32 tune I've found on Battle of the Bits, there are some gems there...

Here is a list (of tagged entries): http://battleofthebits.com/arena/Tag/MT-32/
A more complete browsing can be done through the category search engine: https://battleofthebits.com/browser/EntryByFormat/mt32/

Some songs I've enjoyed:
- http://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry/ ... tar/34205/ (metalish and dynamic mt32, would be great for a Boss scene)
- http://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry/ ... ans/31183/ (in a more sierra-like mood)
- http://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry/ ... ast/31130/ (has some folkish elements in it)
- http://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry/ ... oon/31415/ (a relaxing one)

That's a nice collection with lots of creativity, and is the perfect diversion for me on this rainy Sunday. :) I finally created an account there to download the actual MIDI files, but don't think I'll be writing music anytime soon with so little experience.

Thanks,

Lucas

hello, almost two years have passed... and more great original MT-32 tunes have appeared on BotB!

https://battleofthebits.com/arena/Tag/MT-32/

I've made a few tracks myself, here is the link to my most recent ones:

- https://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry ... ods/46184/ (synthpop)
- https://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry ... ity/47441/ (synthwave / outrun, probably my favorite MT-32 track, composed in 2021 on Cubase on Atari ST)
- https://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry ... alk/51721/ (ambient)
- https://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry ... ide/58458/ (Dungeon Synth, somehow sounds a bit like some old medieval video-games)

Thanks for making me aware of the continued developments! I could hardly contain my joy to see so much love for the MT-32 still being expressed! It was a wonderful treat to find, once I'd realized that this site is working again. I'd missed midimusicadventures.com so much in its absence too!

battle of the bits had their .org domain stolen, so I've corrected the links with the new domain (.com). I've also added the https://battleofthebits.com/browser/EntryByFormat/mt32/ link which will even discover the tracks not tagged as MT-32. I've found many great songs this way, for example this one: https://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry ... mid/69356/

It's too bad the domain was stolen, but I'm glad it's been moved. Thanks for letting us know! I have yet to figure out how to load more than 500 entries on your mt32 search link, and there are at least 500 of them! And, thanks for the links to even more to add to my playlist! :)
